Service Area 8

Providing Technical Assistance to North Central MN SWCDs

The TSA8 provides technical services to Soil & Water Districts within our designated counties. Examples of services include: conservation related engineering assistance, GIS mapping, forestry best practice aid, and design / communication support. We exist to make the SWCD stronger!

Area 8 contains over 3, 213 lakes, 50 Cisco Tullibee Refuge Lakes, the first 400 miles of the Mississippi River, and source water for twin cities drinking water supply.

A joint powers organization of Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods and Wadena Soil & Water Conservation Districts.

Since 2016, Melissa has been the Host Manager for TSA8. She has excelled at grant writing, grant management, protection strategies, and project and staff management.
